Singularity in Christ!

  • By Faith Marie Baczko

Believers today belong to a generation called to serve God in the closing of the Age—a unique and unprecedented hour in history. This hour demands clarity in our understanding of biblical truth, sound doctrine, and God’s purposes, so we can have eyes to see what God is preparing for an unprecedented era and stand firm amid unprecedented shaking.

We often hear statements in the Church that are both biblical and true, yet carry dimensions of meaning we may not have fully apprehended—particularly their corporate expression and God’s appointed timing for their full manifestation.

For example, what implications does “It is finished” have for the conclusion of the Age? When Paul declared, “We have the mind of Christ,” what does this mean for a corporate Body growing into the fullness of Christ, its Head? When Paul stated, “The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,” he revealed the extraordinary reality that the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit dwells within the believer. These are foundational truths carrying profound implications for the completion of God’s eternal purposes in Christ.

When Jesus declared, “It is finished,” His work was complete. Nothing about the Church’s present condition diminishes the sufficiency of His sacrifice. Yet Scripture also describes a continuing work within His people and His House: renewal, sanctification, transformation, and growth—moving us toward the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

The finished work of the Cross is the foundation upon which this continuing work proceeds. Yes, we have been given the Mind of Christ, yet we are instructed to renew our minds. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, yet we are called to walk in the Spirit, be filled with the Spirit, yield to His leading, and allow Him to transform us from glory to glory. Even Paul said that he had not yet attained to the fullness of what God intended for him. There is more to come!

“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12

The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in the believer, yet how much of His resurrection power do we see manifested in the Church today? We certainly have seen the precious evidence of His transforming work in His people’s lives over the centuries. But we also see division, immaturity, personal ambition, moral compromise—even sexual sin among leaders—and resistance to His government.

If we honestly examine the general condition of the House of God today, do we see a House functioning with the mind of Christ and manifesting the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit? Has something been missing from our understanding?

In our born-again experience, Jesus gave all of Himself to us. But the question is, how much of ourselves have we given to Him? How much of us does He occupy? How much of our lives and the Church are truly under His government and Lordship?

Can we look at the condition of the Church today and truly say, “It is finished”?

A great distance remains between the fullness revealed in Christ, intended for His people, and what is expressed today. Are we missing pieces of a mystery within God’s transcendent and unfolding plan? I believe we are.

An important missing piece of the puzzle concerns God’s appointed timing. God’s unfolding plan includes divinely ordained milestones, with certain aspects of His purposes reserved to manifest at these appointed times.

As we stand at the close of one age and on the threshold of another, we need to understand God’s great architectural design, the definitive blueprint of what He has been building. Its milestones are anchored to His ordained Feasts, as His plan moves toward an extraordinary season of completion.

Individuals, Ministries, and the Church all need to find their appointed place within God’s Blueprint as an administration of conclusion for the times. Only in its corporate expression can the transcendent majesty of this Blueprint, culminating in the apocalypse of Jesus Christ, be fully apprehended and reflected.

The Messiah Code Master’s Class focuses on presenting and participating in God’s purposes for the concluding era. Revelation, reserved for the culmination of the ages, answers questions with clarity. Parts I and II of our recent Seminar explore this.
