Building the House of God in an Hour of Shaking. How Would You Prepare

The world appears poised for sudden and profound upheaval. Political instability, war, economic uncertainty, civil unrest, rebellion, and spiritual darkness are converging across the nations. Scripture warns that where there is no prophetic vision—no revelation or understanding—the people cast off restraint and perish. The question before the Church is therefore not simply, What is coming? The more urgent question is how would you prepare?

Preparation does not mean surrendering to fear, withdrawing from society, or becoming consumed with predictions. It means hearing God clearly, strengthening what remains, and building what He has commanded us to build. It means becoming a people capable of standing, serving, governing, and preserving life in a time of catastrophe.

Instruments of Restraint

I believe America has been used as an instrument of restraint against forces seeking to overtake the nations. Under the right leadership, it can continue to serve this purpose. In this regard, I see President Trump as an iron sceptre in the Lord’s hand—an unconventional instrument of governmental restraint in an hour of global disorder.

This does not mean that our trust is placed in a political leader. God alone is sovereign. Psalm 2 declares that while the nations rage and their rulers conspire, the One who sits in the heavens remains enthroned. Earthly authorities may become instruments in His hand, but they are never the source of our salvation.

Political restraint can hold back certain forms of evil for a season, but political authority cannot overcome the spiritual darkness of nations. As T. Austin-Sparks said: Only Spiritual endowment can stand against spiritual forces. Natural strength or ingenuity cannot withstand dark forces. The Church must therefore understand her own calling as an instrument of divine restraint in an hour of Lawlessness.

Apostolic saints are being called to become an Administration of Restraint—a people who stand before the Lord, discern His counsel, intercede governmentally, and administer His purposes in the closing movements of redemptive history.

Josephs Are Being Prepared

Joseph was prepared in advance for a catastrophe he could not yet see. He was trained in the pit and formed in the prison where he learned humility, obedience, wisdom, administration, and dependence upon God. These qualities were necessary for the day when others would bow before the authority entrusted to him.

Joseph built in preparation for the catastrophe that was coming. He governed wisely through it. Joseph served God in the catastrophe. He prospered in the catastrophe. His family was favored and preserved in the midst of it. God had prepared and positioned him before the crisis arrived.

I believe the Lord has also been preparing people with a Joseph calling for the times ahead. Some have felt hidden, confined, forgotten, or unjustly restrained. Yet the prison has been part of their preparation. God has been removing pride, purifying motives, developing wisdom, and teaching His people how to carry authority without being corrupted by it.

The Josephs are now being summoned from their prisons. They are being washed, clothed, and prepared for service. The question is: Are you ready to serve?

The purpose of preparation is not personal elevation. Joseph was raised so that others could live. Likewise, those whom God raises in the coming hour must carry His heart for preservation, provision, justice, and restoration.

Build My House

In a time of catastrophe, the word of the Lord is not merely to store up. It is: Build My House. Such preparation should include the establishment of centres of training and spiritually mature communities capable of equipping believers to discern, stand, serve, and govern in times of shaking. The House of God must become an Ark—a habitation of God’s Presence and an ordered community capable of preserving life.

Ark communities will not be built upon panic, isolation, or self-preservation. They will be founded upon Christ, governed by love, rooted in covenant, and ordered according to God’s Divine pattern. They will become places of worship, training, provision, healing, discernment, intercession, and wise administration.

The first requirement is a sound foundation.

Build the Hebraic foundation is a call to recover the biblical root and governmental order of God’s redemptive purposes. Jesus cannot be separated from Israel, Jerusalem, or the covenants through which He entered history. He ascended from Jerusalem. He returns to Jerusalem. He returns for Jerusalem… His Bride. Are you Jerusalem, built on the foundation of God’s covenants and promises to Israel?

Jesus returns as Israel’s Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is coming to and for Jerusalem Communities, bridal companies that have made herself ready for her King.

Where there is genuine love for Israel and understanding of God’s purposes for Jerusalem, spiritual portholes of revelation are opened. These are openings of understanding through which the Church begins to perceive the continuity, faithfulness, and architecture of God’s redemptive plan. An Ark built without this foundation will not possess the structural integrity required for the coming storm.

Preparing for Spiritual Conflict

The demonic realm is active and on the move. Rebellion, deception, lawlessness, violence, and hostility toward God’s order are intensifying. Uprisings may emerge as organized groups oppose governments and authorities, sometimes through protest and sometimes through violence. Yet our struggle is not ultimately against flesh and blood.

Discernment will distinguish between human activity and the spiritual powers seeking to exploit human anger, confusion, trauma, and rebellion. We don’t answer darkness with hatred or become governed by fear. We overcome through the authority of Christ and the spiritual provisions He has given us. This requires practical training in:

• Spiritual discernment.
• The gifts of the Holy Spirit.
• Governmental intercession.
• The authority of the Blood of Jesus.
• Communion and covenant consciousness.
• The armour of God.
• Obedience and consecration.
• Corporate agreement and spiritual order.

There is also a need for true Apostolic Centres—a divinely ordered gathering of apostles, prophets, intercessors, builders, and governmental leaders. The early Church understood the power of gathering before the Lord to pray, deliberate, receive His counsel, and act in agreement. The coming hour cannot be administered through isolated ministries functioning as independent entities. It will require mature servants gathering in humility under the Headship of Christ.

Consecration Is Protection

Disobedience and rebellion create vulnerability. Protection is not found in repeating spiritual formulas while refusing God’s government. It is found in abiding in Christ. Psalm 91 describes the security of the one who dwells in the secret place of the Most High—a life of habitation, positioned under the authority, covering, and shadow of the Almighty. The Blood, Communion, and the armour of God represent living realities of covenant, union, righteousness, truth, faith, salvation, and obedience. Their power is known by those who walk with God.

Jesus asked: “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” —Luke 6:46

Not everyone who uses the name Christian necessarily belongs to Christ. Those who are His submit to His discipleship and receive His correction. As Hebrews 12 teaches, the Lord disciplines those He loves. His discipline prepares His sons and daughters to share in His holiness and carry His authority without destroying themselves or others. Before we can wield an iron sceptre, we must first come under the sceptre of Christ.

The Iron Sceptre and the Overcomer

Jesus promised authority over the nations to those who overcome and keep His works to the end:

“To him I will give power over the nations—‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron.’” —Revelation 2:26–27

This authority is not permission for carnal domination and control. The iron sceptre represents unbending agreement with the righteous government of Christ. Those who carry it will resist being bribed, manipulated, intimidated, or seduced away from the will of God. They will be able to say with Elijah: “As the Lord lives, before whom I stand.”

Authority comes from standing before God before standing before people. Governmental strength is formed in the Presence. Like Joseph the one who has learned to bow before God can be trusted to stand before kings. The Lord is preparing such people to participate in what may be called the Administration of Conclusion—the mature administration of His redemptive purposes as all things move toward their appointed consummation in Christ.

God is calling His people to build on the unshakeable foundation of Christ in every sphere of their lives. The foundations and motivations governing every sphere must now be examined if we are to stand in the coming days:

What is your spiritual life built upon?
What is your family built upon?
What is your ministry built upon?
What are your finances, relationships, health, and practical preparations built upon?

Anything built upon illusion, presumption, self-will, or unstable systems will be exposed by the shaking. It begins in the spirit, then spiritual order will work its way into the natural. Seek God’s wisdom concerning practical preparation, provision, community, training, and stewardship. Preparation may include storing resources, but it is much greater than accumulating supplies. Joseph possessed grain because he had first received revelation, developed character, acquired administrative wisdom, and constructed the infrastructure required to distribute what had been stored. Provision without wisdom can be wasted. Authority without humility can become tyranny. Revelation without structure may never preserve anyone. The word of the Lord remains: Build according to the pattern.

Are You Jerusalem?

Scripture presents the heavenly Jerusalem as the City of the living God and the Bride prepared for her Husband. The earthly and heavenly purposes of God converge in His intention to possess a people among whom He can dwell. Therefore, the question remains: Are you Jerusalem? Are you His prepared Bride? Are you serving to build Jerusalem communities—communities ordered for the Presence and government of the King who understand His love and purposes for Israel?

The Bride becomes ready through consecration, truth, obedience, love, covenant faithfulness, and union with her Lord. Revelation is founded on humility. The depths of God cannot be accessed by human intellect.

“Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven—what can you do? Deeper than Sheol—what can you know?” —Job 11:7–8

We can never control God or fully comprehend His ways. Yet He reveals what His servants need to know in order to obey Him. Revelation is not given to satisfy our curiosity. It is given as an invitation to partnership.

How, Then, Should We Prepare?

Prepare by drawing near to God rather than surrendering to fear.
Prepare by allowing Him to establish His government within you.
Prepare by strengthening your relationship with Christ, your family, and your covenant community.
Prepare by understanding Israel, Jerusalem, and the biblical architecture of redemption.
Prepare by becoming skilled in discernment, intercession, spiritual gifts, and the authority of Christ.
Prepare by building training centres and Ark communities capable of preserving, equipping, and serving others.
Prepare practically, but build spiritually first.
Prepare like Joseph—not merely to survive the catastrophe, but to serve within it.

God is places of refuge and a people through whom His wisdom, provision, restraint, and government can operate. He is forming servants who can stand when others are overwhelmed, administer when systems are failing, and preserve life when darkness attempts to advance. There is no question that shaking is coming and will intensify. The question is:

If God has been preparing you for such a time, are you ready to be released from the prison, clothed for service, and positioned at your appointed gate? Are you ready to build His House?
