Receiving The Blessings of The Patriarchs!

THE BLESSINGS OF ISRAEL IN CHRIST

I have been teaching and talking for decades about the time of UNTIL —representing the season when the trajectory of the Divine Plan turns once again to Israel for the conclusion and climax of history (Rom. 11:25). I believe we have arrived at that time—a time when world history will shift dramatically as God turns all eyes on Israel.  In this incredible hour, it is so important to understand not only God’s heart for Israel but also His plans and purposes in and through this nation as they are the beginning of God’s Plan, and they are the completion.

In our last article we closed with the issue of the 169 curses God said would come upon the enemies of Israel, to those who curse and hate them. In this article I want to focus on the blessings promised to Israel and to those who bless them, and the significance of what it means to belong to the Commonwealth of Israel.

Israel is the key to blessing and Glory for all nations, through Christ. God is now using Israel as the rod of division to reveal those who follow Christ and the Word of God, and those who do not. God’s intention has always been to bless the world through the blessings He bestowed on Israel recorded in Deuteronomy 28. He told Abraham, Isaac and Israel:

“IN YOUR SEED, ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH WILL BE BLESSED.”

In union of heart with Israel, believers experience the complete richness of these blessings, all bestowed through Christ and manifesting within four distinct spheres:

• The ancient anointing on Israel that is irrevocable (Rom. 11:29).
• The commanded blessing of unity on the head of Aaron the high priest of Israel, dripping down to the edge of his garments—(Psalm 133).
• The promises and blessings of the Covenants given (Ephesians 2:12).
• All the blessings of Deuteronomy 28.  

The anointing oil on the head of Aaron represents the anointing on the head of Christ standing as the High Priest of Israel, flowing down the Body of Jeshua—He is the High Priest who entered the Holiest once and for all! All references to the High Priest in the letters of the New Testament are contained the book of Hebrews written to the Jewish Community.

When we are authentically connected to Israel through Jeshua, we are connected to the fullness of the power source through the Holy Spirit. The fountainhead of the River of God’s Life established in Israel flows into innovation, medicine, technology, education, economy, finance, wealth, success, arts, etc. It is not a happenstance that we presently see all mountains of influence firmly rooted in Israel.

“They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”  Isaiah 11:9

The scriptures declare that salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). Salvation is the Greek word soteria which means deliverance, health, safety, and salvation. Glory is always to the Jew first as the Centre and the beginning point, and then moves outward to the Gentile. God reveals this mystery in Romans 11:12,15:

What does life from the dead look like for Israel in the fullness of time? It looks like resurrection power released in Israel and flooding the Earth with the Glory of God as the scriptures testify: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). The Headwaters of the River released from under the throne and Temple of God floods the Earth with the Glory of God in the time of Israel’s fullness.

Israel’s transgressions do not detract from the plans and purposes of God being fulfilled in and through Israel.  Israel will conform to the will of God in His perfect timings as He has declared in His Word.

THE GLORY OF THE PATRIARCHS

Israel is the source of all in Christ who is the ultimate Jew. The Blessings of Israel are clear as declared by Paul:

“Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised!” Amen. Romans 9:4-5 NIV 

I would like to focus now on the aspect of the patriarchs as Proverbs 17:6 states: “… and the glory of children is their father.” Let us delve into a further revelation of the Patriarchs and Fatherhood:  The Hebrew word for fathers is ab meaning – forefather, patrimony, the founder of an order. The definition of the word patrimony is significant when related to the inheritance we receive through Israel in Christ:

An estate inherited from one’s fathers or ancestors; the accumulate of one’s property – the fullness of our inheritance; the endowment of a religious house; an inheritance, as in national patrimony.     

The concept of national patrimony refers to the storehouse of wealth or accumulated reserves of a national economy.  In this case, Israel! What is the richness of the inheritance, the wealth, and the accumulated reserves that have been stored within Israel for us?  It is beyond what we could ever imagine or think and is to come in Christ! (1 Pet: 1:5).There is a storehouse of wealth yet to be appropriated.

The promises and covenants of God were made to the Patriarchs. God holds very dear to His heart the promises He has made to them.  Let us look at scriptures that reflect God’s faithfulness to the fathers of Israel:

The angel prophecies to Mary: “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom, there will be no end.” Luke 1: 32-33

Mary prophesies: “He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever.” Luke 1:54-55

Zechariah, John’s father prophesies: “…to perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, the oath which He swore to our father Abraham…”  Luke 1:72-73

Peter declares to Israel: “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘AND IN YOUR SEED ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” Acts 3:25-26

These Blessings come to us through humility and the acknowledgment of God’s provision made for us, found in the blessings of the Patriarchs of Israel made attainable to us in Christ.

“For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s TRUTH, TO CONFIRM THE PROMISES MADE TO THE PATRIARCHS so that the Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to Your name.” Again, it says, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.” Romans 15:8-10

GOD’S CANOPY OF GLORY IS OVER THE ISRAEL OF GOD

What incredible mercy God has made available to all races, cultures, and nations through Israel in Christ. In speaking to all Gentiles God says in:

“…that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL and strangers from the COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having no hope and without God in the world.” Ephesians 2:12

This reveals the state and condition of Gentiles without Jeshua; now in Him, they are no longer aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and can enter into the covenants and the Promises given to Israel. The New Covenant was made to Israel and fulfilled in Israel through Christ, as this passage goes on to say:

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ…. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, BUT FELLOW CITIZENS WITH THE SAINTS AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD.”  Ephesians 2:13

The English noun commonwealth means the public welfare; general good or advantage. It comes from the old meaning of wealth, which is well-being. This is our inheritance in Israel.

God, the Father has made magnificent promises and provisions for all His children, all placed within the commonwealth of Israel, through the patrimony of the fathers and Patriarchs of the Jewish faith, in Christ. Let us humble ourselves before the Father and receive this gift! Rather than cursing the Jewish people, let us honor them and thank them for thosands of years of sacrifice and all the blessings they have provided to us!  We open these double doors of blessing through the act of repentance and honor.

Paul continues to address the Gentiles in this passage:

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [chief] cornerstone, in whom THE WHOLE STRUCTURE is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22 AMP

ONE NEW MAN – THE TEST IN THIS HOUR

Ephesians 2 unveils God’s original intention to create for Himself a New Man conformed to the image of Christ, comprised of both Jew and Gentile, male and female, rich and poor, it declares:

Jeshua our Jewish King is the Temple of God, not a church building, not a denomination, not a Messianic synagogue.  We all bow to Him and find our place in Him!  When we position ourselves in this truth, we will enter the realm of Christ, into the full revelation of the intentions of His Heart and His mind.  THE ISSUE OF THE END TIMES WILL BE ISRAEL! WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH ISRAEL?

The enemy is attempting to displace the people of Israel with the demonic lies that the Palestinians have replaced Israel and are the people of the land; that the Gentiles have replaced Israel are now the people of the New Covenant. The are the same lies Satan has been attempting to propogate in His intention to remove Israel from the promised place of the head and not the tail. The truth is the New Covenant was given to Israel as declared through Jeremiah the prophet.

“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name): “If those ordinances depart From before Me, says the LORD, Then the seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation before Me forever.”  Thus says the LORD: “If heaven above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the LORD.  Jeremiah 31:31-40

PAUL LATER DISCUSSES THE NEW COVENANT WITH THE JEWS: 

“FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR MIND AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. NONE OF THEM SHALL TEACH HIS NEIGHBOR, AND NONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, ‘KNOW THE LORD,’ FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST OF THEM TO THE GREATEST OF THEM. FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” In that He says, “A NEW COVENANT,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”  HebREWS 8:8-13

And for this reason, He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15

THE DECEPTION 

All the Covenants and promises were made with Israel and are contained within the Commonwealth of Israel. Gentiles get to partake of this wealth through Patrimony—the inheritance passed down from the Patriarchs to Gentiles through Christ.

There are not two structures—the Church and Israel. This is another deception and error we have been led to believe. There is only one structure and that is The Israel of God being conformed to the image of the Son of Man—the Living One—The Alpha and the Omega—the One who holds the keys of Hades and Death.

Israel was blinded temporarily to show mercy to the Gentiles. Israel will become the number one issue of the last days before Jesus returns. It is the the rod that is dividing the goat nations from the sheep, those who are following after Christ and those who are following their own opinions and agendas, and the believer who gathers with Christ from those who scatter.

As you did it onto the least of these His brethren…you have done it unto Him.
