THE PRIEST, THE WARRIOR & THE KING
The Winds of change are now ushering in a season of shock and awe, reflecting the intensifying battle between Light and darkness, as the veil between Heaven and Earth gets thinner. The fear of the Lord will be prevalent in those who have answered the call to serve the Lord in consecration and holiness in this time, keeping His work pure and undefiled. A Nazarite Guard is being released to fulfill the works of God to see them through to completion. They are an emerging priesthood that is wholly consecrated unto God.
This is a new day! A priesthood of the order of Melchizedek, living the indestructible life of Christ, is being released in the Earth. The Melchizedek anointing comes down from Heaven, drawing God’s servants into the supernatural life of the eternal realms of God, where there is no beginning of days or end of days. Their service to God comes out from this dimension of the eternal (Heb. 7:3, 16).
“As He also says in another place: “YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK; who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.” Hebrews 5:6-7
The Melchizedek Priesthood fashioned in Christ is one that is heard because of their godly fear, and because they have learned obedience through the fires of preparation. Formed from union with Christ, they are positioned within the indestructibility of the Life of Christ from both natural and spiritual forces. The Melchizedek priesthood inhabits the realms of Christ in the seat of the heavenly places at the right hand of God. They have left the elementary to take hold of the powers of the age to come where their life and soul has become anchored (Heb. 6:1-5).
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” Hebrews 6:19-20
The facet of service to God represented by the priesthood, can easily fall into neglect in Ministry to the Lord. The ruler aspect of Ministry represented in kingship tends to be the facet that is highlighted, as it relates to power and authority. The Lord has called His people to stand in the position of both king and priest before Him, serving His interests in a walk of holiness and separation unto Him.
“…For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10
In this new season, the Lord is drawing those who serve His purposes for the hour, close to Him—to a deeper level of consecration. He is highlighting the place of the priesthood as a priority, as the kingly anointing comes forth out of the priestly anointing. The wisdom and character of spiritual kings is derived from their close proximity to the King of all kings. The ability to rule and wield authority in righteousness, comes to the humble servant who has learned obedience as a priest before God—an example set for us by the King Himself, our Apostle and High Priest.
The Warrior Priest & King
The Nazarite Guard now emerging represents a priesthood willing to be violent toward our spiritual enemies in defence of the Kingdom—the Warrior-Priest in the order of Samuel. Samuel is a perfect example of this; he served God as a priest but when it was necessary to kill King Agag, in his fierce loyalty to the Lord, he did not hesitate to lift His sword (1 Sam. 15:33). The strength and resolve to be a warrior in the King’s service comes from the life lived in the Shekinah Presence of God.
“Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.” 1 Sam. 2:35
The priesthood is characterized by their love for the law of God—the Word of the Lord. When we choose to live in disobedience to God’s Word, we have taken ourselves out from under His authority. Those of the priesthood live as eunuchs; they have abandoned flesh—the love and lust of the world. God is their only priority and He is their great reward! They stand separated unto Him not because they are required to, but because that is their one desire, the one thing David spoke about—beholding the beauty of the Lord all the days of his life. David’s heart was sold out to God above all things. David’s life is a beautiful picture of living as both warrior king and as a priest in the Presence of God.
It is not possible to be an authentic servant leader and Minister in service to God, that produces eternal fruit, unless you are first a priest in the order of our High Priest that is Christ. Authentic apostles and prophets are first priests before the Lord before anything else. With kings, the focus is the people, and with the priest, the focus is God. The priest’s life is turned toward God and their faces are fixed on His. The purpose of the entirety of their lives is their service to Him.
The Zadok priesthood represents the faithfulness that God desires in His servants—faithfulness unto God above all. Of these priests God said:
“They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table to minister before me and serve me as guards.” Ezekiel 44:15-16
The Preparation
Joshua the high priest was admonished to walk in the righteousness of God to serve Him, that with obedience to the commands of the LORD, he would be given the privilege of access to the Throne and the heavenly realms. In preparation for service to God, the filthy garments of Joshua were removed and replaced by clean ones, and a clean turban was placed on his head. This is a picture of the Royal robes of Christ and the Mind of Christ given to His royal priesthood.
“Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here.” Zechariah 3:7
The word places in this passage also mean access to the Heavenly realms where this scene was being played out (verse 1). All have been given the opportunity and position of the priesthood because of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Because of the Blood, all have been given the invitation to enter the Most Holy Place where the Shekinah Glory dwells, to minister to the Lord.
As believers in Christ, this honor of access has been given—we are seated in the heavenly places in the Lord. However, many have not accessed this holy place, possibly because they live as carnal—they have not put on the mind of Christ or taken off the filthy garments of idolatry, the love of the world, and the flesh. There are numerous places in scripture where God commands His people to be holy as He is holy. This is not Old Testament doctrine, it is written in many places in the New Covenant (Eph. 1:4, 1 Pet 1:16).
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
God is now emphasizing the order of the Priesthood because of the consecration needed to receive the Divine favor He is now intending to give. His favor will release the resources and the supernatural, that is necessary and required to accomplish His will in the nations of the Earth in this notable season.
